Putting My Experience
to Work

LEADERSHIP,  INTEGRITY, and RIGHTS

My name is Gregg Lindner, and I am a Democrat in Delaware District 4. With a background spanning leadership in the business community, elected office, and volunteer work, I believe I possess the necessary experience and skills to necessary to effectively represent our district within in the legislature. Our community faces a diverse range of challenges that must be addressed to move forward together.

Background and Values

It all starts with family and friends. My wife Kathy and I feel very fortunate to have five fantastic young adults, scattered from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Before that, we lived in Wilmington and Delaware County, PA.

I grew up in a very modest background, with parents who wanted their children to have educational opportunities they themselves never had. With their encouragement, I earned have two degrees from the University of Maryland, including a graduate degree in Quantitative Analysis. The graduate degree was made possible through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Sea Grant program. This experience deepened my understanding of the environmental and economic importance of the bay and instilled in me a lifelong respect for public investment and opportunity.

That opportunity also equipped me for a successful career and inspired me to pay forward the support I received through community service and responsible leadership.

Community Engagement

My family taught me the importance of giving back to the community.

I was elected for two terms to the Unionville Chadds Ford School District Board, serving communities across Delaware and Chester Counties, PA. For two years I served as VP of the board and for the majority I led the board committee on facilities. My focus was to ensure educational excellence, transparency in community discussions, mental health awareness, and fiscal responsibility.

My passion for high-quality public education continues today through my service on the IRSD Community Financial Oversight Board.

Additionally, I spent over fifteen years involved in community recreational sports programs. Outside of that, I have sat on various business and community boards, including serving as president of our local HOA board.

Professional Experience

I transitioned into semi-retirement after serving as the President within a major international business, with over 1000 employees. Concurrently, I served as Executive Chairman of a joint media and marketing venture.

Through these roles, I honed my ability to identify practical, economically sound solutions. Whether in business or public service, success depends on teamwork, integrity, and shared purpose. It’s never about one person.

We Need Change in Our Local Representative

I believe that your representative must focus on that benefit the entire community. Some policies are about protecting rights; others require smart investments in people and infrastructure. Both require sound judgment, fiscal discipline, and a commitment to fairness, lessons I’ve learned through experience in both business and elected office.

Some examples of policies that our district and region deserve include:

  • Take a ride around our community and feel the impact on our infrastructure (roads, schools, medical professionals and flooding). Your representative must be someone willing to speak out and focus on the people in the district today.

  • Ensure strong, equitable funding for public education so that all children can reach their full potential. This includes reforming how schools like IRSD and Cape Henlopen are funded at both the state and local level.

  • Support efforts for safe and affordable housing. This is an essential building block for our community.  It is also directly related to everything happening with our infrastructure.

  • Enact State Constitutional Amendments:

    • Reproductive Rights

    • Marriage Equality

    • Voting Rights

Vision for the District

Our district has grown so fast that 60% of current registered voters were not here in 2016. By the 2026 election, we’ll be the largest district for a state house seat in Delaware. I believe change can be a positive force for our community, and I am committed to helping guide that change thoughtfully and inclusively.

Together, we can build a vibrant, welcoming, and forward-looking community that reflects the best of who we are.

Thank you,

Gregg
